Hosting that I
personally recommend
"Below are few hosting companies that I personally recommend. I insist
that you research their web hosting services first and compare with
other host before you decide to sign up. Ask yourself. What the few
main requirements that you are looking for in a host and decide carefully by
comparing the features, price and most importantly, hosting support" -
HostPulse.com Founder, Terence L

ServerDispatch.com - Price starts at US$159 per month. Generous amount
of hard disk space, control panel features, bandwidth, memory size. The
company offers good server management system. Please research before
purchasing.
|
WebsiteSource.com - One of the good
VPS plans I
have tried and tested.
|
ExaBytes.com - One of the many hosting
companies in Asia that is worth
researching. One of my hosting plans had its server changed frequently which
I thought there has been interruptions, but service is still available while
under maintenance.
|
IpowerWeb.com - Recently, one of the
host that we have
pleasant dealing with. Hosting is affordable, but features may be
limited.
|
|
SingleHop Dedicated
Servers - In the year of 2008, I highly rate this company as one of the
very best dedicated hosting companies around. Technical support staff has
been friendly and it is easy to reach the management if there are any
unsolved problems.

QBE / Query By Example
QBE is a particular search type used by Search Engines - once you find a particular Web Site, QBE will locate sites of a similar nature for you.
QOS / Quality Of Service
QOS is the idea that transmission rates, error rates, and other characteristics can be measured, improved, and, to some extent, guaranteed in advance. QoS is of particular concern for the continuous transmission of high-bandwidth video and multimedia information. Transmitting this kind of content dependably is difficult in public networks using ordinary "best effort" protocols.
Query
Any request for information from a Database, used by everything from Search Engines to Web-based railway timetables.
Query Language
A language such as SQL whereby users of a database system can interactively formulate requests, generate reports etc.
Query String
Your input to a server on the Internet. For example, when you perform a search on Yahoo!, you'll see a question mark in the URL, followed by some strange text-string. Everything after that question mark belongs to the query string. A query string is data input for the CGI script on that particular Internet server.
Quick Web
Quick Web was a product from Intel Corporation that was designed to speed up the delivery of Web pages to users. Quick Web was installed at several major ISPs. ISPs that installed Quick Web offered their users the option of subscribing to a faster delivery service for a somewhat larger fee. Quick Web offered to deliver pages faster in two ways:
1)By compression the graphic images it sent to the user.
2)By cache the Web pages that users requested most frequently.
Quicktime
Apple's software multimedia technology. Quicktime is used to add audio and video to websites and other multimedia applications, and is an alternative to streaming media products from Real Networks and Microsoft.
Quote
To include part of a previous newsgroup post or e-mail message when you follow up to it. Quoting is a good idea because it lets people know what you are talking about. Quoted material is preceded by ">".
QWERTY
The QWERTY keyboard is the standard typewriter and computer keyboard in countries that use a Latin-based alphabet. QWERTY refers to the first six letters on the upper row of the keyboard.
